The Weston Acres Estate
Set amongst 14 acres of lovely Surrey greenbelt countryside, five miles south of Sutton and about a mile east of Banstead (and a short walk from a very good pub!), Weston Acres is the site of the Royal Alfred Seafarers' Society flagship nursing home, residential care and housing centre.
Here we provide an extensive range of high quality care, as well as sheltered housing, to elderly and disabled seafarers, their widows and dependants, as well as people of non-seafaring backgrounds when able to do so.

Belvedere House
Belvedere House is a modern two-storey building set in the Royal Alfred’s extensive and pleasant landscaped grounds. It provides 56 single rooms, each with an en-suite toilet and washbasin. There are ample bath and shower rooms with appropriate aids for those who need them. The rooms are fully furnished, bright and cheerfully decorated. Being able to add your own touches to a new living space can be such a comfort, so we are often happy for residents to bring their own items of furniture. (This is considered based on space available and subject to the Manager's agreement.) There are also ten bedsit flat-lets for sheltered accommodation.

Weston Acres House
Weston Acres House is a Grade II listed building dating back to 1906 and is the second residential building on the Royal Alfred site adjoining Belvedere House.
It was substantially renovated in 2000 and now provides 22 well-appointed bed/sitting rooms together with an en-suite shower/toilet and kitchenette. Twelve of these are within Weston Acres House and ten are situated within an annexe to Belvedere House.
No description of the Weston Acres site would be complete without mentioning the Society’s 80 loyal, dedicated and hardworking members of staff, whom we consider the main ‘engines of our Society’. We employ both male and female care assistants, and at least eight registered nurses. The home manager and deputy are also registered nurses. The day-to-day running of the home relies on a maintenance engineer, porter/driver (we have our own minibus and 4x4), gardener, bar manager, administrator and a team of domestic, catering and laundry staff. We also have an activities coordinator who organizes all of our in-house activities and events, as well as regular leisure and sightseeing trips off-site.
Together our staff create a caring environment of which we are immensely proud and which continues to score well in Care Quality Commission reports.
