Thank you so much for supporting the Royal Alfred Seafarers’ Society. Your kind contribution will help us to continue to provide elderly, infirm and disabled seafarers, their widows and dependants with the high-quality care, accommodation and support they need and deserve.

How To

For one-off contributions, please download and complete our Donation Form, and send it with your donation to the address at the top of this page. For regular donations, please download and complete our Bankers Order Form, making sure that you include the full address of your bank when you post it out to us.

Gift Aid

Your donation can now go even further. If you pay sufficient income tax or capital gains tax you can make tax-efficient donations of any amount to charities. If you do make your donation under Gift Aid rules, the Royal Alfred can claim 28 pence from the Inland Revenue for every pound you donate. If you pay higher rate tax you can reclaim the higher rate component in your own tax return.

For your donation to be eligible for Gift Aid, please complete the Gift Aid section on your donation form before you send it off.

If setting up a bankers order and you want your regular contributions to be eligible for Gift Aid, you will also need to print out and complete the Gift Aid section of the donation form. Please send us both completed forms together.

Give as You Earn

You could also help Royal Alfred by simply going to work! If your employer operates the Give as You Earn payroll scheme, you can help Royal Alfred through this facility. Just ask your employer for more details.
