Weston Acres Estate

Set amongst 14 acres of lovely Surrey greenbelt countryside, 5 miles south of Sutton and about a mile from Banstead (and a short walk from a very good pub), Weston Acres is the site of the Royal Alfred Seafarers' Society "flagship" Nursing Home and Residential Care Centre where we are able to provide an extensive range of High Quality Care as well as Sheltered Housing.

Belvedere House is a brand new 2 storey building set in large, landscaped gardens, providing 56 single rooms each with en-suite toilet and washbasin. There are ample bath and shower rooms with appropriate aids for those who need them. The rooms are fully furnished, bright and cheerfully decorated and residents may bring their own items of furniture subject to the Manager's agreement and consideration of space.

Weston Acres House is a grade II listed building (1906), substantially renovated in 2000 and now provides 22 well-appointed bed-sitting rooms (together with en-suite shower/toilet, and kitchenette facility), 12 of which are within the house and 10 being in an annexe to Belvedere House.

No description of the Weston Acres site would be complete without adequate mention of the "main engines of the Society": the 60 staff members. The Care Staff consists of male and female Care Assistants including 8 Registered Nurses : the Manager and Deputy are also both Registered Nurses, together with the Administrator, Activities Coordinator, Maintenance Engineer, Porter/Driver (we have our own minibus), Gardener, Bar Manager, and in-house domestic, catering and laundry staffs. This very loyal, dedicated and hardworking staff create a caring environment that is the envy of many organisations and which recently scored highly in the CSCI Inspection Report.
